The president of a Rwandan opposition party has written an open letter to US President Barack Obama and British Prime Minister David Cameron urging them to intervene in what he calls a political crisis in Rwanda.

John Karuranga, president of the Rwandan People's Party, says Rwandan President Paul Kagame has gravely mismanaged the country, with the support of the US and the UK.

Karuanga told RFI from London that Kagame has been misrepresenting the most volatile issue in Rwanda today - genocide.
