Ouattara to take government offices

In Cote d’Ivoire members of presidential claimant Alassane Ouattara’s government will meet in government offices later this week, according to his prime minister Guillaume Soro. Soro said he would take over the running of state television on Thursday before a cabinet meeting in the prime ministerial offices in Abidjan on Friday.

“In order to address the concerns of Ivorians and to curtail the suffering of the population, the full cabinet will meet in the premier’s offices,” Soro said in a statement to news organisations.

On Thursday Soro intends to take over the state broadcaster, Radiodiffusion Television Ivoirienne, and put in place a new director general.
