Kadhafi son tells Sarkozy to return alleged campaign funds

One of Libyan leader Moamer Kadhafi's sons has asked French President Nicolas Sarkozy to return money allegedly used to finance his 2007 election campaign. Seif al-Islam Kadhafi told Euronews that he would reveal details about Sarkozy’s financing by the Kadhafi regime, which would take him down.

"We funded it and we have all the details and are ready to reveal everything. The first thing we want this clown to do is to give the money back to the Libyan people," Seif al-Islam Kadhafi told the European television channel.

France and Britain have taken the lead on calling for foreign military intervention in Libya against Kadhafi’s regime.

Libya's state-run news agency Jana reported recently that it would soon publish a "grave secret" that would lead to Sarkozy's downfall.

The French presidency has denied the allegation that Sarkozy received campaign funding from Kadhafi.
