The Islamist sect Boko Haram has been fighting a deadly insurgency in northern Nigeria for several years ... its aims to stop Western-style education and enforce a strict interpretation of Sharia law in the region. The army and police have responded with a dirty war, involving extrajudicial murder and torture. Ordinary Nigerians are trying to live their lives despite the violence. Rosie Collyer reports.
