US conservationists chase Kenya's Samburu tribe off land

Samburu Watch/SurvivalIn Kenya Samburu herdsmen were in court this week over alleged police harassment. They claim this includes the killing of an elder, the seizure of thousands of animals and the rape of Samburu women. The Samburu live on the edge of their ancestral lands after being evicted from them. The NGO Survival International says the expulsion took place after the land was purchased by two American conservationist groups, the Nature Conservancy and the African Wildlife Foundation. A campaigner for Survival International explains.
