Rwanda's President Paul Kagame cleared by French court

Mixed reactions greeted the French report that cleared Rwandan President Paul Kagame of involvement in the shooting down of a plane that sparked the 1994 genocide. The report was welcomed by Rwanda as a vindication of Kagame. Disagreements over subsequent investigations and enquiries led to a diplomatic crisis between Rwanda and France.
