ANC says no to nationalising mines

A study conducted for South Africa's ruling African National Congress has rejected calls to nationalise the country's mines. It has instead backed higher taxes and royalties. The ANC's Youth League had called for the nationalisation of mines to curb poverty and reduce inequality in one of the world's most unequal societies. Andrew Feinstein, a political analyst and former ANC member of parliament told RFI about the implications of the report.
