Clashes continue in northern Mali

AFP/StringerClashes between rebel Tuareg groups and government forces in the Azawad region of northern Mali continued Wednesday, as area residents fled across the borders away from the fighting. The Tuareg's ranks have also been boosted by the recent return of men who fought in Libya for deposed leader Moamer Kadhafi. RFI spoke to Vouter Dol, Mali's program director at the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy, on international efforts to quell the rebellion.
