Ugandan musician Geoffrey Oryema performs

Pierre ValléeUgandan singer-songwriter Geoffrey Oryema uses the only weapons he has, his guitar and unique voice, to express his outrage at the violence and cruelty he sees around him. After an eight-year silence, his latest album called From the heart tells of war and includes a plea to end the plight of child soldiers in his home country of Uganda. A country he hasn't returned to since he arrived in France as a political refugee more than 30 years ago. He recently came into RFI's studio 136 to perform.
