The comic book world mourns Moebius

Issued on:

One of France’s best-known cartoonist and comic book creators, Jean Giraud, has died aged 74 in Paris after a long-illness. Giraud, also known under the names Moebius and Gir, created the hugely popular character Lieutenant Blueberry for a Western series of the same name. He was one of the rare French comic strip artists to have also gained reknown outside of France, especially in the U.S. and Japan.
