'I was tortured in Sudan' says British citizen Magdy el-Baghdady

Twitter accountBritish citizen says he was imprisoned, tortured and subjected to a mock execution in Sudan last year. Magdy el-Baghdady says he was arrested because security forces believed that he was determined to foment revolution in Khartoum. He told RFI that he first visited Khartoum with the aim of opening a restaurant. But two weeks later security forces knocked down his door. The British government has demanded an investigation. Sudan has denied torturing detainees in the past.
