New bank notes and coins for Nigeria

The Central Bank of Nigeria has announced plans to introduce new bank notes and coins next year. A 5,000 naira note, worth 25 euros, will be introduced, making it ten times higher than the largest denomination in circulation. The new note will feature three women on the front for the first time in Nigeria's history. RFI discusses the introduction of new notes and coins with the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.
