Health activists have welcomed the latest UNaids report suggesting that an end to the Aids pandemic is in sight. According to the UN, progress over the past decade has cut the death toll and helped stabilize the number of people infected with HIV. 34 million people were living with HIV last year, but deaths from Aids are continuing to fall. So is the pandemic behind us? RFI asked Stephen Lewis, director of Aids-Free World and former UN special envoy for HIV Aids in Africa, who isn't so sure.
