Peace talks between the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo and the M23 rebel group have been put on hold until January. The talks began two weeks ago after the rebels pushed into eastern Congo and took over the provincial capital Goma. M23 was founded earlier this year by former members of an ethnic Tutsi rebel group who had been integrated into the regular army under a peace deal, but then turned against the goernment, claiming the deal was never fully implemented. RFI spoke to Sacha Letznev, a senior policy analyst at Enough Project, a group working to end genocide and crimes against humanity.
