Technology to monitor Kenya elections

Issued on:

Kenyans are gearing up for an electoral simulation on Sunday to prepare voters for general elections on 4th March.  There are concerns that voters are ill-prepared for the vote in which they elect not only a president, but also senators, governors, parliamentarians, county women representatives and county assembly representatives. The major Kenyan Electoral Observer Group, E-LOG, is planning to use an innovative technique called Parallel Vote Tabulation, or PVT, to monitor the vote on election day. RFI spoke to Mercy Njoroge, an E-LOG official, about the technique.
