Sierra Leonean Ebola survivor gives message of hope

Issued on:

At least five hundred people are estimated to have died from Ebola in Sierra Leone since the beginning of the outbreak.  Medical experts often say Ebola patients have up to 90 per cent chance of dying from the disease and this has created a widespread belief among Sierra Leoneans that Ebola is an automatic license to death. Although the death rate continues to be alarming, there are people who have survived the virus. Correspondent Sheriff Bojang met one of them in eastern Sierra Leone.
