RFI’s English website adds more sport news, Africa and world news analysis

Regular visitors to RFI’s website in English may have noticed exciting changes starting last weekend. They coincide with changes to our broadcasts, with new ones added in the afternoon, and mean more articles on sport, Africa and the world.

There have been big changes in RFI’s English-language service since 29 March when our morning radio broadcasts changed format and times.

They are now at 4.00-4.30, 5.00-5.30, 6.00-7.00 and 7.00-8.00 universal time, with a new afternoon broadcast "Paris Live" at 14.00-15.00 and 16.00-17.00, all of which you can listen to by clicking on “Listen to RFI” on the website if you are not in a region where you can hear them on your radio.

Our journalists are now contributing more to the website as well.

That means that there are now daily sport reports, which have their own slot on the homepage, as well as our reporting from the world’s biggest sporting events, like the Africa Cup of Nations, the Tour de France, the Roland Garros tennis French Open and the Olympics.

And there are more articles on the news around the world, especially Africa, both reports from our journalists in the field and analysis by experts and participants we have interviewed for our radio programmes.

We will also endeavour to keep you fully informed on French political and cultural news, as we have before and keep in touch with our followers on Facebook and Twitter.

So keep visiting the site, tweeting and liking the articles (in both the Facebook and aesthetic senses) and, of course, tuning in to the broadcasts to keep abreast with the news from France, Africa and around the world.
