Lawyers clash over medical reports in Strauss-Kahn case
Lawyers on both sides offer different interpretations of the medical report by a doctor who examined hotel chambermaid Nafissatou Diallo when she was taken by police to a Manhattan hospital on the day she alleged attempted rape and sexual assault.

Ahead of a crucial court hearing next Tuesday, French weekly L'Express has seen a copy of the medical report, which features a sketch of redness on part of the vagina and concludes with the words "cause of injuries: agression. Rape."
But lawyers for Dominique Strauss-Kahn deny that the report bolsters Diallo's allegations against their client, declaring that the use of the report by her lawyers is "misleading and deceitful".
"The physical descriptions of the complainant in the medical reports.....are a common condition consistent with many possible causes other than a sexual assault, including consensual sexual activity days before the incident," they said in a statement.
At next week's hearing, prosecutors are expected to reveal whether they will drop charges or press their case against former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn
