Wikileaks Julian Assange urges European countries to accept Snowden
Wikileaks chief Julian Asasnge is urging European nations, not to bow to US pressure and accept fugitive Edward Snowden into their countries.

In an opinion piece published in left-leaning French paper Le Monde, Assange said “European Union states, first and foremost France and Germany, should reserve him their warmest welcome, under any status whatsoever”.
This comes just after France called for the temporary suspension of talks on a major EU – US free trade pact, after allegations of American spying on European offices.
“This is not about stopping negotiations on the free trade agreement, but it does seem wise to temporarily suspend them, probably for a period of 15 days, to avoid controversy and to give time to obtain the requested information” said Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, a government spokeswoman.
Earlier today, France denied having any involvement in delaying Bolivian President Evo Morales’ flight from Europe back to South America. Morales was thought to have brought Snowden on board his flight in an effort to bring him to South America, but denied such suspicions.
