Jeff Mills, the man from tomorrow

Issued on:

American DJ Jeff Mills is considered to be one of the world’s most inventive producers of techno music. Born and raised in Detroit, Mills has written scores for cult silent films by Fritz Lang and Buster Keaton. His video art installations have been shown in museums and last month the Louvre showed the world premier of the film The Man from Tomorrow by Jacqueline Caux - inspired by Mills' futuristic ideas, and distinctive music. He talks to RFI about how film has helped to ensure techno will live on, long after the party is over.
