Taliban bomber flattens Peshawar police station, killing six
A Taliban suicide bomber flattened a north-west Pakistani police station on Wednesday, killing six people in the latest attack on security forces since US troops killed Osama bin Laden.

The dawn truck bombing brought down the three-storey building in the military zone of the north-western city of Peshawar, not far from the US consulate, killing five police officers
and a soldier.
Rescuers launched a search for two or three people believed to be buried in the rubble.
The Taliban attacked a US diplomatic convoy in Peshawar last Friday.
Al Qaeda and the Pakistani Taliban threatened reprisals after US forces killed Osama bin Laden at the beginning of May.
Officials said Wednesday that they were thinking about relocating the Karachi naval air base after Sunday’s Taliban attack, which killed 10 security personnel and destroyed two US-made surveillance aircraft.
The base’s commander, Commodore Raja Tahir, has been replaced and he has been suspended as an inquiry takes place, according to The News International, which says that five navy personnel, who had not been employed at the base, had been court-martialled in connection with the attack.
