Call for frontier troop withdrawal after Himalayas avalanche

Reuters/Inter Services Public Relations via Reuters TVThe avalanche on the militarised Siachen Glacier in the Himalayas a few days ago buried 135 people, most of them Pakistani soldiers. There's little hope for survivors. But the avalanche has stirred speculation that India and Pakistan may withdraw their troops from the perilous peaks. Basir Naveed, senior researcher at the Asian Human Rights Commission and India-Pakistan peace advocate, thinks they should.
