A flare-up of violence in western Myanmar against the Muslim minority Rohingya community has captured international attention. RFI spoke to Elaine Pearson, a US-based specialist, about the lack of verifiable information and its implications inside and outside the country; as well as the possibilties for resolving the situation, both now and in the long term.
