Bhutanese refugees in Nepal sent to West

Bhutanese refugees in Beldangi, southeastern Nepal
Alemaugil/Wikimedia CommonsOver 100,000 Bhutanese refugees have been living in seven UNHCR-monitored refugee camps in south-eastern Nepal for the last 20 years. With no hope for repatriation, they are being sent to the United States of America, Canada, Australia, The Netherlands and other developed countries. The young refugees are excited about third-country resettlement. But some of the older people have held back and some have even chosen to stay in the hope of being repatriated to Bhutan someday.
