Myanmar is among the countries criticised by the US State Department in its latest report on religious freedom around the world. That report was released as a United Nations envoy for Myanmar,Tomas Ojea Quintana, arrived in the country to launch an investigation into recent violence in Rakhine State, where both Buddhist and Muslims have been victims. The NGO, Human Rights Watch, also compiled a report called The Government Could have Stopped This. RFI discussed the issue with HRW Asia specialist Phil Robertson.
