China, Japan, Taiwan fight for East China Sea islands

Reuters/Central News Agency/HandoutThe row over the Senkaku or Dee-ao-yu islands in the East China Sea continues after China's and Japan's top diplomats failed to reach agreement during a meeting this week on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. Taiwan, another regional claimant of the islands, says it's going to set up a marine park there. Joseph Wu, a former Taiwan diplomat in the US during the Democratic Progessive Party-government and professor of international relations, discusses the geopolitics of the situation.
