The American singer Judy Collins made her public debut at the age of 13 as a classical pianist. But she fell in love with folk music, and gave up the piano to embark on a singing career. Her hits Both Sides Now, Bring in the Clowns , Suzanne and many others have brought her fame the world over. After a concert in Paris recently, she talked to RFI's Voices about her new album, Paradise, her seemingly tireless voice and her fight with alcoholism. And she explained how she found the strength to go on after the suicide of her only son.
