Paris celebrates Diane Arbus

American photographer Diane Arbus revolutionised the art she practiced. Committed to photography as a medium which “tangles with the facts”, she explored the relationship between appearance and identity, illusion and belief. Over 200 of her photographs are now on view at the Jeu de Paume museum in Paris – the first major retrospective of her work in France.
