Argentina's purveyor of 'dirty tango'

In his early days, Buenos Aires musician Daniel Melingo played rock and dabbled in punk. But he found his most naturral resting place to be the tango, the expression of working class life in the Argentine capital. His gravel voice invite comparisons with Tom Waits, Paolo Conte and Nick Cave. His latest album Corazon y huesos (heart and bone) gives a voice to several Buenos Aires poets who use a literary slang known as lunfardo, portraying a world where prostitution, alcohol and drugs are never far away.
