Thousands of people bought tickets to the three-day, sell-out event that gave them the chance to see corners of Paris normally hidden from view, far from the beaten tourist track.

The festival, organised by the association, A Suivre, enabled visitors to explore the insides of a hospital, a quarry, the headquarters of the French Communist Party as well as take part in unusual creative events held inside some of Paris’s public venues: museums and sports arenas.

RFI’s Karen Burke went along to one of the events taking place at the French Communist Party headquarters in Place du Colonel Fabien where she spoke to co-director of Paris Face Cachée, Caroline Loire is the co-director of the event and expalined to RFI's Karen Burke what the event is about.
