Egypt's new government has asked the International Monetary Fund for 3.8 billion euros in aid. The head of the International Monetary Fund--Christine Lagarde--was in Cairo on Wednesday to meet with both President Morsi and his prime minister Hishan Qandil. Qandil said Egypt is hoping to sign a loan agreement by the end of 2012. The Egyptian economy has suffered greatly since its January revolution that saw a major decline in tourism, its prime source of revenue.
