Biggest solar power plant in Africa to be based in Ghana

A UK-based renewable energy investment company, Blue energy, announced on Tuesday that it is to build the biggest photovoltaic solar power plant in Africa. The Ghana-based Nzema project will be able to provide electricity to more than 100 thousand homes. The project is due to start within 12 months. There have been plans for many solar projects on the African continent in the past years but few have been so large.
