Bin Laden's cook given 14 years in prison
Osama bin Laden's former cook was sentenced to 14 years in prison on Wednesday after pleading guilty to giving material support to terrorism.Ibrahim al-Qosi, 51, who left his native Sudan in 1996 to work with the Al-Qaida leader was judged in a Guantanamo Bay court, but had already already agreed to a secret plea deal with prosecutors.

The deal has given rise to speculation that he could serve a much shorter sentence or be repatriated to Sudan.
The jurors deliberated for only an hour before delivering the sentence, and were instructed to keep the sentence between a 12-to-15-year range, according to a US military tribunal spokesperson.
This is the first prison term given out since US President Barack Obama has taken office.
In related news, another Guantanamo court has finished jury selection for detainee Omar Khadr, a Canadian who was 15 years old when he was captured in Afghanistan.
His lawyers have criticised his trial as the first prosecution of a child soldier in modern history.
