Iran opposition figure taken to unknown location
Iranian security forces have moved opposition leader Mehdi Karroubi to an unknown location from his Tehran residence where he was being held under house arrest, his website said Monday.

It said Karroubi and his wife were moved around midnight on Thursday, and that the transfer was witnessed by a neighbour.
"We have spoken to a neighbour who witnessed our father and mother being taken out of their house," one of the cleric's children, was quoted as saying by the website.
Iranian authorities had put Karroubi and fellow opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi and their wives under complete house arrest after their supporters staged anti-government protests on 14 February, the first such demonstration for a year.
The government called a hate rally against the opposition in response.
