This weekend Cambodians will be heading to the polls, for the fifth parliamentary elections since the Khmer Rouge were ousted from power. Prime Minister Hun Sen has increased his share of the vote in each election untiol now and tightened his grip on power. It is widely expected that he will win again but some observers say there is a change this year. More people, especially young Cambodians, are getting politically involved. And for the first time, they’re taking to the streets in massive numbers. It’s changing the complexion of this campaign and giving some in the opposition reason for hope.
