Airbus signs 8.3-billion deal with leasing firm Amadeo
Leasing firm Amadeo ordered 20 A380s superjumbo jets, worth 8.3 billion euros, from Airbus on Wednesday. It was the second big command scored by the European planemaker at the Singapore airshow.

The day after signing a deal with Vietnamese airline VietJetAir worth 4.7 billion euros, Airbus did it again, the company, whose biggest factory is in the south-western French cityb of Toulouse, signed a 8.3 billion euros deal with Amadeo.
Amadeo, formerly called Doris Lease Corp, is one of the biggest leasing firms managing A 380s around the world.
The order is the largest deal announced by Airbus since the airshow started.
More than 120 A 380 superjumbos, which took to the skies in 2007, currently fly around the world, Airbus says.
The planes can carry more than 500 passengers.
The orders should be delivered between 2016 and 2020.
"As world air traffic continues to double every 15 years [...] the A 380 is the best solution for airlines to capture that growth," declared Amadeo chief executive Mark Lapidus.
European plane manufacturer ATR also signed a deal worth nearly 500 million euros with Dubai Aerospace Enterprise for 20 ATR 72-600 planes and a 150-million-euro contract with Bangkok Airways for six ATR 72-600s.
