The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) has won this year's Nobel Peace Prize - a gold medal and around 930.000 euros. Alfred Nobel stipulated in his will that the prize should be awarded to someone who has worked extensively for "the fraternity of nations, abolition or reduction of standing armies and holding of peace congresses". But the choice is often controversila, with previous winners including former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and current US President Barack Obama. Fredrik Heffermehl is a fierce critic of the way the Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded over the years.
