The lists are in. Thursday was the last day for candidates to register to run in municipal elections at the end of the month. The campaigns kick off officially this weekend and run for the next two weeks. While these are local elections, voters may approach them as a referendum on François Hollande, who has the lowest approval ratings of any French president ever.
