We start off with an update on the situation in Hong Kong, where local elections offered a landslide victory for pro-democracy groups.

Later, we go the ‘South Asia Youth Skills and Solutions Forum’ held in Mumbai, to hear an interview with UNICEF’s executive director Henrietta Fore.

We'll have a special focus on today's International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, in terms of how France is tackling the problem.

And finally there's our special interview with film critic and programmer Joseph Fahim, on the sidelines of the Cairo International Film Festival, covered by RFI's Anne-Marie Bissada.
