Israel and Palestinians urged to continue peace process

On Tuesday, Pope Francis, the head of the Roman Catholic Church, received the Israeli president Shimon Peres in Vatican City. The Pontiff called for Israel and the Palestinians to resume negotiations and take courageous decisions. This after the US Secretary of State John Kerry met a delegation from the Arab League in Washington D.C. in which the Arab League proposed mutually-agreed land swaps with the Palestinians. RFI asked Rosemary Hollis, a Middle East expert, to explain this continually complicated and shifting situation.
