Paris airports to axe 370 jobs
Paris’s airports are to axe 370 jobs, while creating 180 new ones in areas judged “strategic”, the public company that runs Charles De Gaulle and Orly airports told unions on Thursday. Aéroports de Paris (ADP) says that the redundancies will be voluntary.

Management announced the plan to shed 5.3 per cent of its 6,900 workforce to a works committee meeting on Thursday.
Departures will be voluntary, it said, and will “essentially” be made up of people approaching retirement age.
But it was not all bad news.
ADP announced that it will take on 180 people, 120 in passenger reception and 60 in maintenance.
The latest moves are part of a productivity drive agreed with government representatives in 2010.
It aimed to reduce the workforce by 10 per cent over five years, although the target was later reduced to 7.0 per cent.
ADP had a revenue of 653 million euros in the first quarter of 2013, a rise of 9.0 per cent.
