A processing lab was discovered in Barcelona and more than 36 kilogrammes of cocaine was seized.

Cocaine was flown in by courriers from Latin America, especially Paraguay and the Dominican Republic. Some of the courriers then travelled to Lourdes in the guise of pilgrims, before taking a coach to Barcelona.
