A support group for victims of sex abuse by the clergy has formally urged the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court to investigate the Vatican for crimes against humanity. Leaders of the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests filed a complaint charging that Vatican officials are tolerating systematic concealment of rape and child sex crimes throughout the world.
