Bangladesh turns away Myanmar's Muslim Rohingya

Bangladesh border guards have turned back eight boats carrying more than 300 Rohingya Muslims, most of them women and children fleeing religious violence in Myanmar. Coastguard said they were trying to enter Bangladesh through the Naf river which acts as a border between the two nations. RFI spoke to Chris Leka, a leading researcher into the ongoing plight of the Rohingya people.
