Syria's Kurds flee to northern Iraq

As violence in Syria's sectarian war worsens, many ethnic Kurds are fleeing the country. But they are not taking the most direct route to neighbouring Turkey or Lebanon. Rather, many are settling in northern Iraq where Iraqi Kurds rule the Kurdish Autonomous Region.
