After eight days of searching the remote mountainside where the plane crashed, killing the 150 people on board, investigators have found the second flight recorder, the public prosecutors' office in the southern French city of Marseille said on Wednesday.
The first black box, the cockpit voice recorder, contained sound recordings that have led to the conclusion that Lubitz deliberately crashed the plane.
The second, the flight data recorder, should have the plane's flight parameters - its speed, height and flight path- on it.
Shortly after the French announcement, German prosecutors revealed that their investigation had found that Lubitz researched suicide methods and cockpit door security in the run-up to the flight.
