Judges postpone Bettencourt trial to examine secret tapes

A Paris court adjourned the Bettencourt trial on Thursday to examine new evidence on secret tapes leaked to the press.

A Paris court has adjourned the trial opposing Liliane Bettencourt's daughter and a society photographer accused of defrauding Bettencourt of about one billion euros. The judges are to examine the new evidence contained on secret tapes leaked to the press. Neither of the Bettencourts were present at the trial, but their lawyers traded insults and almost came to blows during the hearing.
