Teenager arrested after Facebook murder boast

The body of the woman in her 40s was found at a rubbish dump in the Nuyens region of Bordeaux Bastide.

The youth had invited the victim to spend the night with him in the disused area. She made a remark that engendered a terrible rage. He started shouting at her and hitting her with fists, feet and any objects that were to hand, including a saw and the handle of another tool.

According to the newspaper Sud Ouest, he then published a description of the murder on his Facebook profile. He also told his sister about it and said he had published the account to boast, not to relieve any feelings of guilt.

His sister sounded the alarm on Friday, the day after the murder. The victim was found lying in her blood in the place where the suspect told the police it would be during his interrogation. He is now in provisional custody and will be tried for murder.
