France delays tackling budget deficit

ReutersBudget Minister François Baroin is proposing to increase taxes and reduce tax deductions in an attempt to pay back France’s mounting public debt. The new measures should come into effect in the year 2013, one year after the next presidential elections. But as concerns about the economy grow, can the government afford to delay?
