France's new justice minister, Christiane Taubira, is keen to put her mark on the ministry. She's become one of France's most powerful women, and born in French Guyana, she also reflects the government's commitment to gender parity and ethnic diversity. For her first official outing, she chose to attend a basketball tournament in Paris, where prisoners and their wardens were on the same side.
